Hi,
ERROR : Unknown image format/type: qluman-10.1.1.23-singularity.sqsh ABORT : Retval = 255
singularity-container package is from ubuntu 19.04 repository: 2.6.1-2
Previous version qluman-10.1.1.19-singularity.sqsh works.
MD5/SHA256 were verified and are the same as in qlustar dowanload page.

Hi,
The same problem with older singularity 2.4.2 on ubuntu 18.04 LTS based installation.
Regards, Rolandas
P.S. Qlustar xenial (10.1) based image has also 2.6.1 version of singularity.

Hi Rolandas,
please try to proceed as described in https://www.qlustar.com/docs/community-package-repo and use the 11.0-bionic repo. That contains singularity 3.2.0 which will definitely work. The package has no critical dependencies so it can be installed on Ubuntu 16.04 - 19.04
Best,
Roland

Hi,
Please don't force us to use newer (3.x) singularity version :-(
In debian the newest is 2.6.1 and 3.x series has many (unknown) security problems.
Rolandas
P.S. If we will be forced to use newer version of singularity, we will loose all benefices of easy usage.

Sorry, but it's the other way round.
a) Security fixes will only enter 3.x b) 2.6.1 and 3.x potentially contain the same number of (unknown) security problems.
We won't be able to support old versions of software.
BTW: I've added a paragraph about the needed singularity versions on the Qlustar download page.

Hi,
Sorry for my previous harsh message. I found in buster singularity-container will be at 3.0.3 at least (and at 3.1.1 in unstable). But it will be in the future. Ubuntu still 2.6.1 at the best.
But we live now and such change is difficult. Can we still at least make it compatible with latest of 2.6.1 ?
Regards, Rolandas

I just uploaded new images that are built with and should work with 2.6.1. But please upgrade your singularity installation asap, this is most likely a one-time thing.
Best,
Roland
