no, it's also supported by the hpsa module.

Looks like a hardware problem, possibly bad disk(s). I'd try with just one disk to start. If it still fails try another disk, etc.
If no disk works, you can try whether the Ubuntu 18.04 installer sees the disks. If it did, we need to check further ...
