the easiest way to use qluman-qt is to use the singularity image on the Qlustar download page. You can do this on any Linux workstation where a new enough singularity package is installed.

No.

If you haven't done much customization, that would also be an option.
Finally I had to re-start installation from scratch, the centos7 chroot setting was deep somewhere and qlustar-initial-config couldn't rewrite it. I selected now both xenial and centos7. The only noticeable error during installation was the following one:
* User account hernan successfully created. -su: /srv/apps/chroots/centos7/usr/lib/ql-hpl-tools/install-qsub-func.sh: No such file or directory
But no problems so far.
