such more exotic scenarios are usually best handled by an rc.boot script like:
$ vgchange -a y $ mkdir <mntpt> $ mount /dev/<vg/<lv> /<mntpt>
As long as the FS to be mounted is not needed for anything systemd related, this should do it.
