thank you for the answer and encouraging words; than I'll announce a maintenance for this and try it. I hope, we don't have incompatible packages/setups.
@Bryan: Sounds good to hear that I am not the only one who still didn't upgrade; I'll keep you informed on my experiences. But as I mentioned, due to our long run times of cluster-jobs it will take some time.

I didn't have problems while upgrading many customer clusters (otherwise they would have been solved by now anyway ;) ). Obviously we only install the minimum needed set of packages for a given cluster, so if you have pulled in many non-Qlustar related packages from base Ubuntu, you might run into problems on that side. Better to wait for calculations to finish. All nodes will need a reboot anyway.
