Hej,
I would like to set up SGE on freshly installed cluster. Could you please briefly describe necessary steps.
Cheers, Iggy

the SGE packages and image modules are still available in Qlustar 10, but they are barely tested. I'd strongly advise you to switch to slurm for a new cluster, this is the only workload manager we actively support. We can't even guarantee that the girdengine image modules will be available for Qlustar 11, since we will drop it, if it turns out, that building it under Ubuntu bionic requires substantial effort.
If you really want to stick to SGE, install the gridengine-master package on the head-node and include the gridengine image module in the images you configure for your nodes. Configuration of the gridengine master should then be done according to standard gridengine recipes/docs.
Best,
Roland
Hej Roland,
Thanks for information. It went rather smooth to install and set up SGE on Qlustar 10.
I very much hope that you will maintain SGE modules in the upcoming versions of Qlustar. We have access to very large clusters using SLURM, but the main software we run locally is SGE optimized. So we have to stick to it.
Cheers, Iggy
