Hej,
How to correctly set up IMPI?
I guess this one is a bit more tricky to trouble shoot, but here's what I have: * IMPI network was set up during installation; * cabling done; * anything to check in BIOS? * following QluMan guide "3.7. IPMI settings" I set "Initialize IPMI: true" in "Generic Property Set" assigned to nodes; * nodes "Hardware Property Set" has "IPMI Adapter: true";
Rebooted everything, started "console-login", but see only headnode.
What did I miss?
Cheers, Iggy

good so far. For the nodes to appear with console-login, you'll have to add entries for the nodes manually in /etc/qlustar/remote-access/serial-connections (read the instructions at the top of that file) and define the necessary ipmicmd variable in the conf file /etc/qlustar/remote-access/serial-connections.conf (doesn't exist initially).
Best,
Roland
OK, I updated serial-connections file and created .conf with ipmi command.
Btw, instructions say: # an example serial-connections.conf file can be found in the # packages examples directory
Not really sure which directory is meant...
And: # how to automate the creation of this file: # use the "generate-hostnames" script to get the list of hostnames
Not sure were script "generate-hostnames" is located...
Anyhow, I still can not get to the nodes ipmi consoles. Is there easy way to check if IPMI card network settings were reconfigured correctly on boot?
P.S. I should've checked thread name - not IMPI, but IPMI... ush :)

/usr/share/doc/qluman-remote-access/examples/serial-connections.conf

This is not valid anymore, should be dropped ...

$ ipmiping <IPMI IP addr of node>
must work. Since IPMI implementations are HW dependent, you must check how you can get the power control (ipmipower ...) and console (ipmiconsole ...) working on your machines.
