Hello List,
here's a question that cropped up during my search for HW Threads (see other message), but is actually unrelated: how do I edit HW property sets? If I use the pop-up menu to, say, change the number of cores from 10 to 20, the change reverts upon closing the property sets window. The context menu of the property has "Delete Property", but that has no effect; the context menu of the property set has "Edit Property Set", but that pertains only to the set's name and description, not the contained properties. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot,
A.

to change the value of a property in a HW property set, you bring up the "Hardware Property Sets" window, then unfold the property set you want to change and finally select a new value for the property you want to change for this set either by typing in the new value and confirm with 'Return' or by using one of the existing values from the pull-down menu. If you added a new value by typing it in, it will be available for future use from the pull-down menu of that property. I just realized that we should add a section in the QluMan guide where this is explained in detail ...
Does it work for you this as explained above?
Best,
Roland

Yes, that's what I tried.
Does it work for you this as explained above?
I just re-checked, and it didn't work. Then I killed and re-started QluMan, and now it works just fine. So while I do not understand what happened, things work as they should/
Thanks,
A.

Could you please check in /var/log/qluman/qlumand.log whether there was an exception before the restart? If so, please post it.
Thanks,
Roland

No, I don't see any exceptions. But note I did restart the client, not the daemon.

Ah, OK. If this happened again, please check whether the client had any exceptions (in the terminal you started it).

Sure, no problem.
