Hello. I'm having a lot of trouble getting the Qlustar 10.0 installer to recognize the the hard drives. During the installation process an error message comes up that there are no available hard drives and the FAI stops. HP Proliant DL360 G5 Smart Array P400i is working. I did a standard Ubuntu 18.04.2 Server LTS installation and the hard drives were recognized just fine. I'm not sure how to get the Qlustar to recognize it. Is it possible to install Qlustar from within ubuntu? I would prefer the automated installation process if possible to avoid errors, but if I can't get it to work. Please advise, thanks.

did you try all the debugging steps outlined in thread https://lists.qlustar.org/hyperkitty/list/qlustar-general@qlustar.org/thread... (Qlustar installation on HP Gen6 servers)? If not please do and send the corresponding info. It would also be valuable if you could post the output of the two commands 'dmesg' and 'lsmod' when running Ubuntu 18.04.2.
Cheers,
Roland
Sorry I thought I posted the response to this, but it's not showing up. I'm not sure if my response was rejected or if there is a time delay...
It appears my response was rejected since that last response showed up right away. Will post in multiple times. Yes I did follow those suggestions on the link. Corresponding info:

Sorry, but I can't find out what's wrong from these messages. Strange that on Gen6 servers going back to 10.0 installer (=~ Kernel 4.9.x) helped.
You might want to try again when the 11.0 installer is out (based on kernel 4.19.x). I'll post you once it's available.
Best,
Roland
is there a way to install it using apt instead of the installer?

Unfortunately not feasible. Too much custom setup that will be a nightmare to do manually ... Qlustar 11 is not too far away though. I can make a beta of the installer available for you once it's ready.
it appears there is a character limit to what can be posted. I'm not sure how to provide the output from the ubuntu server.
Please try the new Qlustar 10.1.1 installer (version 10.1.1-2). It runs a new kernel with a fix for the hpsa module that might help. Feedback appreciated ...
Hi There. I finally got a chance to try the new installer. I think it may have solved the previous problem, while it goes through initialization, it shows that it is recognizing [sdc] which implies sda & sdb. However it crashes almost immediately with a kernel panic error and the installation process freezes.
Okay it seems to be working now. I was creating the boot image using Rufus and it didn't like creating the image in ISO mode, so I've tried it in DD mode and it seems to be working.

Good news, glad it worked out.
Cheers,
